This policy explains what personal data sfdcpi.com (“Pi.”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. Pi. is a personal, non-commercial education blog run by an individual based in India. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and we give visitors from the EU and UK the rights they have under the GDPR.

 

Who is responsible for your data

 

Data fiduciary / controller: the owner of sfdcpi.com, an individual based in India. Contact and grievance officer: the site owner, reachable through the Contact page at sfdcpi.com/contact.

 

What we collect and why

 

• Contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply to you. Legal basis: your consent.

• Member sign-up and blog comments (if you create an account or comment): your name, email address, profile details and comments. Comments are shown publicly. Legal basis: your consent, and providing the service you asked for.

• Email updates (only if you sign up): your email address, to send new posts. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

• Analytics (only after you accept analytics cookies): pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived and how you use the page. We use Wix’s built-in statistics and TWIPLA (Visitor Analytics GmbH), which can include anonymised session recordings. Legal basis: your consent.

• Advertising (only after you accept advertising cookies): Google AdSense may show ads and use cookies to measure and personalise them. Legal basis: your consent.

• Technical data needed to run the site securely, such as IP address and essential cookies set by our host, Wix. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.

 

We only collect what we need for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.

 

Who we share it with

 

• Wix.com Ltd. (Israel), which hosts the site, forms, members area and email.

• Visitor Analytics GmbH (Germany), provider of TWIPLA analytics.

• Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd., provider of Google AdSense.

 

These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. Some of them store data outside India and outside your country; where that happens they use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

 

How long we keep it

 

Contact messages: up to 2 years, then deleted. Member accounts and comments: until you delete your account or ask us to remove them. Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Analytics data: according to each provider’s retention settings, at most 26 months.

 

Your rights

 

You can ask to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent at any time, and nominate someone to act for you. If you are in the EU or UK you can also ask us to restrict or stop processing, and to give you your data in a portable format. Send your request through the Contact page (sfdcpi.com/contact) and we will reply as soon as possible and within the time the law allows. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU/UK, to your local data protection authority.
